Dr. 이문원은 치자, 금은화, 지황, 골쇄보, 당귀 등에서 추출한 성분을 두피에 주사하였을 때, 모낭의 줄기세포가 재 활성화되면서 모발의 재생이 촉진되는 것을 밝혀내고 2024년7월에 특허를 출원(10-2024-0099925)하였습니다. 그리고 2025년9월 30일에 “ 모낭줄기세포 활성활를 통한 발모 촉진 조성물” 특허의 등록이 결정되면서, 드디어 11번째 특허권을 취득했습니다.
이 발모촉진 조성물은 LMW19-A, LMW19-B 라고 명명되었는데, Dr.이문원이 19년동안 탈모 치료제 개발에 전념하면서 찾아낸 성분이어서 19년의 노력을 담았다는 의미로 LMW-19라고 이름지어 졌습니다. .
모낭 줄기세포(Follicular Stem Cells)는 모발 성장 주기 동안 새로운 모발을 생성하고 손상된 조직을 재생하는 데 중요한 역할을 하는 다능성 세포입니다. 그래서 탈모로 인해 모발의 재생이 원활하지 못할때 모낭줄기세포를 다시 활성화시키므로서 모발의 재생과 성장을 촉진하는 것은 탈모치료에 있어서 매우 중요한 부분입니다. 그리고 LMW19-A, LMW19-B가 모낭의 줄기세포를 다시 활성화시키므로서 모발의 재생이 시작되고 성장을 촉진했습니다.

LMW19-A와 LMW19-B 성분을 이용한 주사요법은 2025년 12월부터 탈모증 치료에 활용될 예정입니다.

This hair growth promoting composition has been named LMW19-A and LMW19-B. It was named LMW-19 to signify 19 years of effort, as these are the components Dr. Moon-Won Lee discovered while devoting 19 years to the development of hair loss treatments.Follicular Stem Cells are pluripotent cells that play a crucial role in generating new hair and regenerating damaged tissue during the hair growth cycle. Therefore, reactivating follicular stem cells to promote hair regeneration and growth is a very important part of hair loss treatment when hair regeneration is not smooth due to hair loss. LMW19-A and LMW19-B reactivate the stem cells of the hair follicles, thereby initiating hair regeneration and promoting growth.
Dr. Moon-Won Lee stated, "Since LMW19-A and LMW19-B can be locally administered using a syringe to the hair loss area or the area where hair growth is desired, it can be utilized for treating alopecia without the anxiety of taking medication or concerns about hypertrichosis (excessive hair growth in unwanted areas). The injection therapy using the LMW19-A and LMW19-B components is scheduled to be utilized in the treatment of alopecia starting from December 2025.
